Full-Stack GTM Engineering, The GTM Engineer

Manny Adelstein has Ben on The GTM Engineer. They walk the AirOps AI-search scorecard lead magnet (scrape positioning, run buyer-impersonation prompts, email and ads the result), then the systems work underneath it. Ben prefers Salesforce to HubSpot when Claude Code is in the loop because the Salesforce CLI can reach almost the whole platform. He would not give an agent write access until there was a rollback: save contact state before enrichment, keep the write key in a separate env file, and make Claude ask twice. Trust with SDRs came from shipping the builds they asked for first. Apero takes few clients on purpose so a failed engagement actually hurts.

Notes

  1. 01

The AirOps lead magnet scraped a site, impersonated buyers in prompts, and returned a scorecard. Cold email, ads, newsletters, and influencers carried it.

  2. 02

Salesforce CLI lets an agent do work HubSpot still makes you click. He has used it for things as small as resetting a password and changing a security profile.

  3. 03

Guardrails before CRM writes: rollback snapshots, write key in a separate env file, Claude has to ask twice.

  4. 04

Earn trust by shipping what the team already wanted. Then you can change how they work.

  5. 05

Most GTM agencies skip context and do not feel a failed engagement. Apero keeps the roster small so they do.
